DIY Zero Waste All-purpose cleaning spray
This is going to be as short and sweet as my cleaning routine. I love satisfying my OCD with deep cleaning sessions, but I don’t want to spend lots of time AND money on cleaning. One of the reasons Zero Waste exists is to simplify our lives and daily routines. With this super easy and effective heck, you save money, time and energy whilst you have a clean home. Sounds good? Let’s get started.
- white vinegar
- essential oils (I swear on Tea Tree and Eucalyptus, but you can use anything you like or completely leave them out, too. If you decide you won’t put essential oils in, the mix
turewill have a dominant vinegar fragrance)
To mix the ingredients you need a reusable bottle, like the amber one we love.
Depending on the size of the bottle you’re using, fill up it a little under halfway with water, then mix it with the same amount of vinegar. I use a 300 ml amber bottle at the moment, so I mix about 125 ml water with 125 ml vinegar. I usually add 3 drops of Tea Tree oil and 10 to 20 drops of pure essential oil (I use Eucalyptus). Mix it, shake it well and you’re done.
1 liter white vinegar costs £1 in my local corner store and this is usually enough for about 4 months.

If you have greasy surfaces, for example on your stove, spray it first with this mix, then add baking soda evenly to it. Give it a couple of minutes, then wipe it all off with a cloth.
